Ushers

The usher team at St Paul’s United Methodist Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, St Paul’s holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

We have a scholarship available to UMC camps in Indiana – Indicoso, Camp Adventure and Epworth Forest.  Registration is going on now and the Friendship class offers scholarships.

Vacation Bible School

Operation Classroom Health Kits

Health kits are for Operation Classroom  provide an important service. Health kits provide basic necessities and are used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition and cooking classes. When people gain the knowledge and materials to maintain personal hygiene, their overall health improves.  When called to make them the attached document will give you an idea of what is needed.

See what is needed and share with a friend.

Christmas Tree Angels
Several families and their children are chosen through contact with our local elementary schools.  These families are chosen because of unexpected circumstances that have recently occurred due to no fault of their own.  Each family member receives an angel for church members to shop for, then they are invited to come to the church and wrap these gifts of love.

Hope Spot
Hope Spot stands for Helping Other People Everywhere.  This mission provides quarterly opportunities for families to get clothing for their family members.  Items are new or lightly used.  This mission also provides for emergency situations and a backpack day for back to school.

Operation Christmas Store
This mission is a one day free opportunity for people to “shop” for children’s clothing, household items, and seasonal items.  This is a place for church members to donate gently used items or items that are no longer needed but of good condition and value.  The Elks have generously offered there banquet room as a location for this one day event.  It is usually held the first Saturday of December.
